The CISC RFID Tag Emulator’s main module is a powerful multi-core processor unit based on FPGAs with 16 high-speed analog inputs and outputs. It captures the reader data and generates tag responses backscattered by the CISC RF Sensor Modules in real time.
The CISC RFID Tag Emulator is feasible to emulate complex and future protocol standards like the EPCglobal TM Class 1 Generation 2 UHF RFID Protocol.
Emulation Scenario
CISC RF Sensor Modules, instead of RFID tags, are affixed on the pallet, which moves through the gate. The four gate antennas (GA) are transmitting modulated reader signal with a certain power level.
Together with the CISC RF Sensor Modules, the CISC RFID Tag Emulator communicates with an UHF reader similar like RFID transponders would do. During an evaluation and measurement the CISC RFID Tag Emulator records the received data from the CISC RF Sensor Modules and also sends responses in real time. The collected data can be used for further analysis.
