The Mobile Store Reader™ (MSR) from Intellident is a complete stock management device, designed to enable fast and efficient stock inventory and search and seek operations using UHF Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID).
Designed for any application where the rapid counting or location of individual items is required, the Mobile Store Reader™ features a rugged wheeled base station with a unique wireless hand-held RFID reader.
Mobile base station
The base station of the MSR contains an industrial battery, allowing the unit to operate continously for up to 8 hours. In addition the head of the base station is equipped with a powerful touch-screen PC for local processing of information.
Bluetooth™ connected handheld
The real power of the MSR is in the Bluetooth™ connected handheld, which allows hundreds of tags to be read within fractions of second. Information read from the tags is immeditaly relayed back to the base station for further processing.
On-board wireless connectivity
To allow the operator to communication with existing in-store systems, the MSR is equipped with an 802.11g wireless interface for real-time communications. Alternativly the MSR can also operate in a batch mode, with data downloaded via a seperate base station at the end of the shift.
