The Mobile Tag Reader (MTR) from Intellident is a powerful, portable solution for reading and writing RFID tags for a variety of applications. Part of our growing family of RFID solutions, the MTR is designed for use in warehouse and shop floor environments where space for fixed position readers may not be available.
Integrated RFID reader
For reading from and writing to RFID tags, the MTR features an integrated RFID reader operating at either HF or UHF frequencies. Interaction with tags is achieved using the external hand-held antenna, which allows all tag orientations to be explored.
On-board computer
A powerful on-board computer is used to process data collected by the RFID reader and control the monitor for displaying information. In addition, stored data may be transferred to and from back-end systems via the integrated spread spectrum 802.11b interface.
User interaction
User interaction is via a 12-inch TFT monitor, positioned behind reinforced glass for protection, and an industrial touch keypad with 25 unique keys. In addition, two software controlled high intensity LEDs can be used to provide application-specific status information.
Power
A pair of batteries in the base of the unit provide enough power for over 15 hours continuous use, with battery power status displayed via an LED bar graph meter. Charging is simply a case of plugging the unit into a standard 240V mains socket using the cable provided
